The long process of selecting, reusing, composing and assembling of the most part of the furniture is inspired to the fact that in XV century the neighbourhood was populated by handcrafters able to realize wooden fruit boxes (casse) and other wooden handworks. This is the reason why the street name is "Càssari" (Càssari = wooden box handcrafters).

The upcycling gives the opportunity to enjoy a second life to objects no more useful and things that would otherwise be trashed. To create something useful using useless objects is in fact a funny way to practice creativity and to avoid to waste potentially useful materials.

The apartments are characterized by graphic representations or installations made by recycled cardboard supports of young local artists.

An old shutter, a fruit box and a tube transformed into a work of art.

The furniture is composed by handmade objects realized using local materials often bought at the famous Sunday flea market in Piazza Marina, far less than 300 m from the apartment.
